Vision

RVA-STEM is a volunteer nonprofit group that works to inspire, engage, and educate underserved youth in the Greater Richmond, Virginia community in science, technology, engineering and math fields. We do this to expand their horizons and to meet the growing demand for STEM professionals.

RVA-STEM values developing interest in STEM at an early age to fully ignite the passion and cultivate their aptitude in STEM focused education and careers.

RVA-STEM values working with our educators and STEM educational and experiential resources to help grow their reach and effectiveness.

RVA-STEM values hands-on, educational programs, utilizing interdisciplinary curricula including science, technology, engineering, mathematics, art, and design.

RVA-STEM values developing a strategically sustainable effort.

RVA-STEM values working to meet the Richmond’s region’s un-met needs for STEM education and workforce preparedness, especially for those that are underprivileged.
